Activated charcoal has a high non-specific adsorbent capacity (poisonous substances,
toxins, medicines, etc.). Following oral administration, it is not absorbed through the
. It coats the intestinal wall and adsorbs potentially toxic substances, thereby
limits their entry into the bloodstream. Sodium sulphate facilitates their elimination via the
stool.

Composition

Vegetable charcoal (30%), sodium sulphate (6.25%), glycerine.

Directions for use

For oral use.
1. Before first use, turn the ring as shown in Figure 1 until
the desired amount is visible between the cylinder and the ring, as shown in Figure 2.
2. Remove the cap and administer the product directly into the animal’s mouth.

Carbodote® Prime should only be used as a single dose.
One dot ( . ) corresponds to 7.8 g of product.

Administer the required amount of product according to the following table:

Pharmaceutical advice

Where repeated use of charcoal is necessary, use Carbodote® Repeat. Do not
administer to dehydrated animals.
Allow approximately 3 hours to elapse between administering the product and feeding and/or
oral treatments. The product causes faeces to turn black and stains
fabrics.
