In this lecture, updates on the science behind photobiomodulation (laser therapy) and its use in general veterinary practice will be discussed. Principles of how this non-invasive modality can decrease inflammation, treat pain, and benefit healing in a variety of conditions in veterinary medicine will be covered. Recent research will be presented alongside real-world cases treated by veterinarians world-wide. The attendee will have an understanding of the science of photobiomodulation and examples of cases which will apply to their own daily veterinary practice.
